Knapdale School 140th Jubilee

Jubilees and reunions Southland

Notice reference #: 1H9vVT

Knapdale School is celebrating its 140th jubilee at Labour Weekend. We welcome any past and present school community members to attend this, including pupils, staff, wider whānau and board of trustee members. This is a great way to celebrate the longevity of our school and the glue for our local community.

It runs over Saturday and Sunday of Labour Weekend, with photographs being taken during an afternoon tea on Saturday 26 October and then an evening function in Gore. On Sunday, we will be back here at school, with a BBQ, some games and then the opening of the time capsule from the last jubilee before relaying a new one. Our finale is that we are asking for our attendees to donate a living fruit tree that we can plant in our back paddock as a clear remembrance of the occasion, which the current students will then label and mark in accordance.

Registrations open 5 July and will run through until 4 October.

All information will be listed on the website below and also as an event on our school Facebook page.
