The Shifting from Themes to Concepts, Mark Treadwell
Transitioning to using a conceptual approach to learning enables learners to focus on understanding and being able to apply and predict how that understanding would play out in contexts they have not yet experienced.
In this session, Mark will provide samples of the conceptual curriculum, unpack the pedagogy of learning conceptually across the competencies and the learning domains.
The application of a conceptual approach enables educators and learners to move through the curriculum far more efficiently and effectively, enabling learners to follow their own passions and interests.
