The New Zealand Social Sciences Conference (SocCon) 2019 will be held at the stunning Waipuna Hotel in Auckland, 30 September–2 October.
The 2019 theme 'A Sense of Place' offers exploration on many levels. On an individual or national level it may be about identity, tūrangawaewae, or being part of a local or global community. It aims to bring together educators from all the broad and diverse areas of the social sciences.
Connect with fellow social scientists to learn, be challenged and develop our skills as expert educators in our field. The conference will include inspiring keynote speakers and headliners as well as a wide range of workshops that will cover all areas of the Social Science curriculum.
“It is the delegates who will make this conference a success, from the quality of your papers to your engagement with the speakers” – Jacky Lee, Convenor
This is an opportunity to cement the social sciences as an integral component in our NZ Curriculum; so visit the conference website today, www.soccon.net.nz/2019, for more information and to register at the early bird rates before 15 August.
