Numicon is a proven maths approach for ALL students. The visual and kinaesthetic approach is very appealing to all students including intermediate and secondary.

It is a practical base to develop conceptual understanding – learning through play. Problem-solving using real-life contexts that give every activity a purpose. Reasoning mathematically by seeing relationships and making generalisations.  Collaborative Approach to problem-solving – to explain, justify, reason and learn together.  Proven pedagogy raising achievement across all levels, sustained over time with impressive results.

This is a full day course for all teachers, RTLB's and tutors from Y0–11 working with students at NZ Curriculum Levels 1–4.

This course is interactive and hands-on with all attendees receiving a complimentary maths resource that they can use immediately in their classroom.

The course is at Whangarei Girls' High School, 1 Lupton Avenue, Regent, Whangarei. Prompt 9am start ending at 3pm.
