Join Word Mania, a Free Online Spelling Competition for New Zealand Schools
Kiwi students are invited to put their spelling skills to the test in Word Mania, the biggest, most fun online spelling competition in the world.

Created by LiteracyPlanet, an award-winning online English literacy education program, Word Mania challenges students to create as many words as they can in three minutes, from 15 randomly generated letter tiles. Word Mania is free to enter for any students from Y1–9, and with $350,000 in prizes up for grabs there’s plenty to play for.
Word Mania is more than just a fun exercise. It challenges students to think outside the box and develop crucial literacy skills while improving their vocabulary and word knowledge.
Students have until 9 August 2019 to sharpen their skills as part of the Practice Round, before the official Competition Rounds from 12 August to 23 August.
The top-performing schools will qualify for the Final Round from 28 August 2019 to 30 August and have the chance to win up to $350,000 in prizes.

2019 National Sport Stacking Championships
The 2019 National Sport Stacking Championships will be held on Saturday 21 September.
Competition is open to everyone, with our Novice section enabling those new to the sport to compete alongside seasoned stackers, facing the same thrill of a competition whilst striving for goals and records amongst those of equal experience.
This is a fun filled family event and spectators and media may join the sport stackers, instructors and volunteers from 8.45am.
