VLN Primary School – Online Programmes 2019 – Semester 2
Registrations are invited from schools wishing to participate in the VLN Primary School programmes in Semester 2.
Online programmes include te reo Māori, kapa haka, NZ Sign Language, a wide range of languages, extension maths, digital technology, science, web design, future planning – life skills, financial literacy, literacy and visual art.
Great learning opportunities for supporting students talents and interests and extending Gifted Learners.
Semester 2 classes start 22 July. Enrolments close Monday 1 July.

Montessori Aotearoa New Zealand Conference 2020
Welcome to the information and registration site for MANZ Conference 2020!
I am delighted to present to you the amazing line-up of speakers who are providing a wide range of topics which will, I’m sure, inspire you. Come along to the Wairakei Resort, Taupō while soaking up knowledge for your kete.
In 2020 we are celebrating the 150 years since the birth of our founder Dr Maria Montessori. Come along to our network drinks on Saturday 4 July to help us celebrate this important milestone.

Teacher Education Refresh Programme, Kohia Centre, University of Auckland
The Teacher Education Refresh (TER) programme is currently funded by the Ministry of Education.
The Kohia Centre programme can be completed in 2–3 months. It is delivered through a combination of 4 face-to-face workshops, online modules/tasks and a 4 week practicum in a school. (Teachers already employed in long term teaching positions can use their current position to demonstrate effective teaching practice).
The TER programme covers a wide range of topics including planning and assessment in the New Zealand Curriculum, teaching as inquiry, working with priority learners, and cultural competencies.
