Ania Wojcikowski – Environments that support uninterrupted play

How do we create environments that work well to facilitate free uninterrupted play? I will be sharing some thoughts and ideas about what has worked for us in our centre. The things we consider when changing play spaces and how we set up for each day. We will also discuss challenges and restraints and how we can best work within those to support the children.

Malenka Robinson – Educaring® & Documentation - How can they marry up?

This workshop will explore how we, as practitioners working with the New Zealand ECE Curriculum and the Educaring® Approach, can weave our values and beliefs in to essential learning documentation. This workshop will involve group discussions and differing examples as well as examining the RIE® Basic Principles.

Elena Marouchos – "A good enough parent is good enough but caregivers must be excellent" - Magda Gerber.

How The Learning Centre (TLC) are reframing their notion of what 'excellence' looks like during caregiving moments. This presentation focuses on mealtimes and the framework of care model that is being used to elevate practice and reflect on our notions of consistency and what this might mean for children when using the Educaring® Approach.
