13–17 of May 2019 (term 2, week 3) is Primary Science Week.

NZAPSE runs an annual Primary Science Week in term 2, providing an opportunity for all New Zealand  primary schools to engage in science learning.

The theme for 2019 is the Periodic Table as 2019 is the International Year of the Periodic Table.

The role of the New Zealand Association of Primary Science Educators (NZAPSE) is to celebrate science in primary schools and to enhance the teaching and learning of science at the primary level.
