Science Academy (OUASSA) Teacher Workshops
Fantastic PD Opportunity for science teachers.
The Science Academy (OUASSA) runs two four-day teacher professional development workshops every year at Otago University Campus. We currently have a few spaces for teachers to attend our winter professional development workshop in July.
Our workshops are targeted at teachers from rural/provincial, small and/or lower decile schools.
We utilise the expertise and facilities of the university to support your teaching of the science curriculum. You will carry out some practicals, attend moderation workshops led by members of the NZQA moderation team, meet top researchers and hear about their cutting edge research and go back to school inspired with enhanced teaching skills!
“Really enjoyable PLD. Lots of professional discussion between staff from different areas of the country which we don't usually get”
