Designing Learning: Personalising Learning for Every Student
In today’s world the expectation is that all students will be fully engaged in personalised learning programmes that take account of their needs, interests and desires, and that students will develop the wide range of skills that will enable them to be citizens of the future who will thrive in the increasingly complex and uncertain world. The reality of how to do this is complex and requires strong capabilities and knowledge.

This course is theoretical, experiential and practical. You will explore Amesbury School’s approach to personalising learning, share and reflect on your own practices and start working through an approach using your own student data to design personalised learning programmes.
- Explore what personalising learning means
- Be Introduced to Amesbury School’s designing learning map, Amesbury Learning Framework and group learning maps
- Use data to uncover students’ learning narratives
- Identify specific needs and priority next steps to cause accelerated progress from your own analysed assessment data
- Collate data into group learning maps, to identify patterns and individual next steps
- Identify best modes of delivery/learning to meet the needs of your groups and individuals
- Explore models of team teaching to assist personalising learning and flexible grouping
- Create teaching and learning programmes and plans
