Biolive/ChemEd Conference 2019
A group of Dunedin teachers are preparing to host the combined Biolive/ChemEd biennial conference from 7–10 July at John McGlashan College in Dunedin.
The theme is ‘Climate of Change’ and our keynote speakers include Dr Stephen Ashworth, UK; Professor Lisa Matisoo-Smith, Otago; Professor Peter Dearden, Otago; and Mr Ian Taylor, Animation Research. A range of workshops is planned with a chance to connect and share with other educators.

Otago Down Syndrome Association (ODSA) Conference 2019
The Otago Down Syndrome Association is presenting a full-day conference for teachers, teacher aides, SENCOs and RTLBs who work with students with Down Syndrome.
This conference is the first of its kind in Otago and Southland to focus solely on challenges faced by students with Down Syndrome in a mainstream school.
The topics covered at this conference will include:
The learning profile of students with Down Syndrome
Use of visual supports and strategies to support learning
Sensory processing and its impact on learning
Positive behaviour support
Adapting the curriculum.

World Vision Youth Conference 2019
An international leadership event for secondary school leaders in Aotearoa New Zealand.
