The Science Roadshow will be back on tour in 2019 refreshed with new exhibits, shows and classroom ready resources – all designed to support and augment the delivery of curricula as well as enthusing and stimulating teachers and students.

The programme lasts for 80 minutes and includes:

Forces — Ngā tōpana
Comparisons — Ngā whakatauritenga
Observations using measurements — Te mātakitaki mā te ine
Patterns, grouping, classification — He tauira, he whakarōpu, he kōmakatanga
Materials — Ngā matū
Models — He tauira

Resource book: a complimentary resource book may be downloaded. 

This contains many useful activities, both pre and post visit, as well as a complete unit plan on Useful chemicals — He matū whai. The resource book has been developed to enhance student learning outcomes, allowing teachers to better plan and prepare students for their visit and subsequent follow up tasks.

Our 2019 tour includes –

Term 1:

Papanui, West Melton, Sockburn, Hawarden, Culverden, Murchison, Richmond, Stoke, Picton, Waikanae, Otaki, Palmerston North, Marton, Whanganui, Opunake, New Plymouth, Stratford, Taumarunui, Otorohanga, Cambridge 

Term 2: 

Waikato and Auckland

Term 3:  

Auckland, Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, East Cape, Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa, Wellington

Term 4:

Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago, Southand

Admission is $8 per student; supervising teachers/adults free.
