Innovative Learning Environments offer educators many advantages over traditional environments, not the least of which is the ability to work with other teachers. But achieving successful co-teaching is not as simple as putting people in a room and hoping for the best. This workshop will draw from the latest research to identify key areas for success, from team culture through to practical strategies for the classroom.

This workshop will take people from absolute beginners through to seasoned co-teaching practitioners and provide structured frameworks and case-studies to ramp up what is possible in co-teaching. We will explore planning and self-review tools as well as team agreements and practical strategies for co-teaching.

Key questions to will be explored:

  • What does the research say about the most effective way to collaborate and co-teach?
  • What kind of team culture sets the groundwork for effective co-teaching?
  • What different models of co-teaching work best in which situation?

NB This workshop is based in Auckland
