International Science Opportunities for Y12 and Y13 Students
Fantastic international science opportunities for Y12 and Y13 students are being offered by Royal Society Te Apārangi in 2019. If selected by the society then the student will be supported by the Talented School Students Travel Award.
Applicants must be in Y12 or Y13.
Applicants must be either a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand.
Applicants must be studying at least two science subjects and gaining at least a merit grade in their science subjects.
Applicants should be involved in a school leadership activity or contributing to the community in some way.
Applicants must be very good communicators.

Space for Planet Earth Challenge–Leveraging Space Data to Address Climate Change.
A competition for university and secondary school students leveraging space technologies and data to address climate change issues. Win up to $30k, data, and mentorship. Participate in a research incubator to develop your solutions.
Deadline to participate in the Space for Planet Earth Challenge Research Incubator Programme is 31 October 2021. Submit a short proposal now at spaceforearth.org
Future Legends Scholarship
The Future Legends Scholarship has been developed to support and nurture talented individuals from a range of disciplines.
Applications are open to young New Zealanders aged 13-21 years.
Winners will be chosen from three categories:
• Leaders and entrepreneurs
• Music and arts
MTF Finance will award three $5,000 cash prizes.
