Pause, Breathe, Smile Mindfulness Teacher Training – NZ Curriculum-Aligned, Evidence-Based

Professional development (PD) Auckland

Posted: 05 November 2018
Notice reference #: 1H9nd7

As seen recently on Nigel Latta's 'The Curious Mind' series, Pause, Breathe, Smile  is New Zealand’s only locally developed and researched school-based mindfulness programme. The Mindfulness Education Group is leading the way with high-quality professional development for educators and health professionals to teach our tamariki.

Pause, Breathe, Smile supports children’s emotional wellbeing and builds resilience to help them manage their responses to the challenges they face.

The programme draws on a robust evidence base combining cutting edge science with practical experiential learning and aligns with the New Zealand school curriculum.

Pause, Breathe, Smile is contextualised by the Māori holistic wellbeing model Te Whare Tapa Whā which is relevant in education and health settings in NZ. PBS resources are also available in Te Reo Māori.
