essence Education supports school leaders, teachers and others in education to build vitality and resilience for both personal and professional improvement. There is increasing reference to the pressures associated with school leadership and teaching…yet educators perform a vital role by impacting the lives of children. To effectively promote wellbeing for learners, it’s essential that we attend to our own wellbeing first.

During these workshops you will learn The Resilience Advantage™ program from the HeartMath® Institute in California. Considerable peer-reviewed research about heart-mind alignment underlies the program. It’s a scientifically-validated system of stress intervention techniques that provides pragmatic solutions.

The workshops give educators the skills to enhance wellbeing while 'on the job'. Waiting for downtime to recharge your inner battery is not always practical. When faced with challenges, it’s important that we’re able to sustain composure and clarity so that we can respond effectively and professionally, while limiting personal stress.

This program will help you build understanding of the effects of stress on your own physiology as well as on others, whether they be adults or children. Care of ourselves and regulation of our own energy and wellbeing benefits not only us, but our colleagues, students and whā fact our environments at work and at home.
