Gifted 101– Identifying gifted and talented students in your context
School leaders and teachers are required to identify and cater for the needs of all students including those who are gifted and talented. This course will help teachers to identify gifted and talented students in their context, and understand how students’ intensities can impact learning. Practical suggestions will be provided for teachers to implement.
This course will be suitable for all teachers who are new to gifted and talented education, and will also provide knowledge for experienced educators to support colleagues in developing their understanding of the needs of gifted and talented students.
Differentiation strategies will be modelled so that attendees will receive practical examples and templates that can be used in their own context.
Participants will also be provided with opportunities to discuss their own school context and identify and problem-solve strategies together.
