The 2018 Science Roadshow is touring the South Island in term 4, refreshed with new exhibits, shows and classroom ready resources – all designed to support and augment the delivery of curricula as well as enthusing and stimulating teachers and students.

The programme lasts for 80 minutes and includes:

Two exciting new shows to enjoy...

  • Fire & Ice— the concepts of temperature and combustion
  • Am I Living ? Characteristics of living things; humans, other animals and plants

New exhibit themes to explore...

  • Astronomy, Ecology & Environment, Interpreting Representations, Reflection & Refraction, Sound, Spinning and Whizzing

Resource Book:

On booking  complimentary resource book may be downloaded.  This contains many useful activities, both pre and post visit, as well as a complete unit plan on Biodiversity BioBlitz”.  The resource book has been developed to enhance student learning outcomes, allowing teachers to better plan and prepare students for their visit and subsequent follow up tasks.

Our term 4 South Island tour includes –

Blenheim, Pegasus Bay, Rangiora, Burnside, Bishopdale, St Martins, Rolleston, Ashburton, Oamaru, Alexandra, Cromwell, Wanaka, Arrowtown, Queenstown, Te Anau, Invercargill, Wyndham, Gore, Tapanui, Dunedin, Pleasant Point, Leeston, Methven, Prebbleton, Horbny, Riccarton, Oxford, West Melton, Opawa, Kaiapoi, Rangiora

Admission is $8 per student; supervising teachers/adults free.
