Meeting Their Needs: Certificate of Effective Practice in Gifted Education

Professional development (PD) New Zealand (nationwide)

Notice reference #: 1H9k2S

Here’s a course that comes with history. First of all, it’s the only New Zealand course in gifted education to win an international award – the USA National Gifted Association’s 2017 Professional Development Network Award. It’s been endorsed by the US Institute for the Study of Advanced Development. It’s attracted participants from Australia, Sweden, Jamaica, Thailand and Singapore.

But most importantly, for 13 years it’s been providing teachers from throughout New Zealand and from every level of schooling with a course that offers a genuine insight into the different world of the gifted learner and complements this with sound practical strategies achievable by even the busiest classroom teacher. What’s more, every participating teacher is individually mentored throughout by one of our highly experienced practitioners, the course is delivered online so is accessible wherever you are, and it comes complete with a huge archive of resources. As many of our participants say, it’s a learning experience that can change your teaching forever.

And now is a great time to enrol!  Let’s face it, gifted learners have been at the back of the bottom shelf in recent years. But our new Minister and Associate Minister of Education have seen the need for change and have pledged support for gifted education. So now is absolutely the right time for you to enrol and discover just how interesting this sort of teaching can be!
