Visit Government House Wellington, home of New Zealand's Governor-General. The house is a category 1 historic buiding and was opened in 1910 and fully refurbished in 2011. All tours and programmes are free and can be tailored to meet your learning focus and students' needs. Visits here tie in with learning about New Zealand's system of government, the role of the Governor-General, leadership, celebrating volunteers and community service, art, historic buidings and symbols of nationhood. We are in walking distance to Pukeahu. We can work with you to plan a visit that fits your itinerary. Visits welcomed from ECE and Y0-tertiary.
