What Can We Learn From the 2018 Ten Trends?

Professional development (PD) Auckland

Posted: 05 June 2018
Notice reference #: 1H9j44

Formal education institutions are under increasing pressure as they seek to respond to the changes taking place in the broader context of society. Identifying the trends that are influencing this change helps us to better understand some of the things that are likely to have a significant impact on how we live and learn into the future, what we should be taking notice of, and how might we need to respond. This presentation will explore how current trends can help us understand the need and opportunity to create future focused responses in the way we organise and deliver learning to our students.

This CORE breakfast session will:

  • provide an overview some of the trends that are shaping how we will live and learn in the future
  • consider these in light of some of the current areas of government activity - including NZC review, NCEA review, Digital Technologies | Hangarau Matahiko curriculum etc
  • inspire you to create deeper learning experiences for your students to ensure they are adequately prepared to live and work in their future.

Come along and kick start your day at this CORE breakfast seminar with presenter Derek Wenmoth – find out more.
