Rethinking Assessment in Aotearoa/New Zealand

Seize the opportunity to be a part of important conversations about new horizons in education assessment in Aotearoa/New Zealand. 
The newly formed New Zealand Assessment Institute is holding seminars in April where you will have the chance to hear and share what is happening in NZ assessment now and how we can prepare for the future. 
Knowledgeable education experts, along with regional presenters from primary and secondary schools, will share ideas and innovative practices. There will be opportunities for professional discussions, sharing practices and extending assessment networks.

Confirmed keynote speakers are:

  • Mary Chamberlain – powerhouse and thought leader in New Zealand education, instrumental in developing the NZ Curriculum
  • Esther Smaill – University of Otago – recently completed her doctorate on moderating student assessments  

Full day seminars will be held in:

  • Christchurch, Monday 16 April
  • Wellington, Tuesday 17 April
  • Auckland, Wednesday 18 April
