JustTalk Justice Speech Competition 2018
JustTalk ran its first NZ Student Justice Speech Competition in 2017 and with 160 entries from over 60 schools across our country, it was a rather successful start delving into thought-provoking subjects amongst our students throughout New Zealand.
There were many interesting topics on various justice issues, both on a national and international level, were explored by the students, and the team of 15 judges had a tough job selecting the finalists from the 26 semi-finalists, of which 10 were Y9 students and 16 were Y10 students. It was a very close call between the Top 3 winners.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in this competition. We hope that looking into the justice issues faced by society broadened your knowledge, opened up discussions and some critical thinking.
Visit justtalk.org.nz to watch the winning speech videos and a full list of all the winner's details.
Following on from 2017 success, JustTalk will be running the competition again for 2018 and we are inviting Y9–10 students across New Zealand to enter.
