1. Simple Korean Action Songs and Games
Presenter: Rosemary Song
This workshop will explore simple Korean songs and games to affirm the culture of Korean children and give others an eye into a new culture. The activities will incorporate voice, body and instruments and will enhance language/music learning. Activity notes will be provided on the day. Rosemary teaches at ACG Parnell College, teaching music to Y0–4. She has experience attending International Orff-Schulwerk Workshops and attained Orff certificates in Korea and Sydney.
2. Songs and Games from the Pacific and India
Presenter: Roshan Tuivavalagi
This workshop will explore songs, games and stories from the Pacific and India that can be used in an early childhood setting. The activities will incorporate voice, body and instruments and will enhance language/music learning.
Roshan Tuivavalagi has a background in Jazz Performance and has over seven years experience as a Primary School Music Specialist. She is of Māori and Indian descent and her husband is Fijian. She has Orff certification in Levels 1-4.
