Early Years Professional Learning Hui
Rising to the Challenge of Innovation and Diversity
This hui is run in Christchurch on the 17–18 April 2018.
The hui is hosted by Kidsfirst Kindergartens and provides a range of keynote addresses and workshops presented by top national early years presenters.
Keynote addresses include:
Ali Glasgow, Victoria University Wellington – supporting Pacific children’s cultural and linguistic identity
Ruud Kleinpaste, internationally renowned speaker on environmental education and community engagement (the Bug man)
Assoc Prof Jayne White, Waikato University – Celebrating Two year olds
Joe Harawira, international storyteller
Dr Cara Swit, Senior Lecturer, University of Canterbury – Teacher and parent perceptions of young children’s social behaviours
Dr David McKay, The enviro doctor – A Whakapapa of learning for life
Participants will be able to attend 7 keynote addresses and 3 workshops. The workshops are selected from a choice of 11 in each workshop time slot.
This is a very affordable hui –
EARLY BIRD – If paid/registered by 31 March 2018.
$160 + gst per day, or $300 + gst for 2 days.
FULL COST –
$185 + gst per day, or $350 + gst for 2 days.
