Mini #LitterLessCampaign - Reduce Environmental Pollution
Help for the Tough Times is a pocket guide to four websites (The Lowdown, Sparx, Common Ground, and Youthline) especially developed to help 12- to 19-year olds when they are feeling stressed, anxious, or out of their depth.
Help for the Tough Times was developed by teens for teens. The Health Promotion Agency worked with secondary school students using a co-development approach to develop the text and decide on the format for Help for the Tough Times.
The New Zealand websites described in Help for the Tough Times are all free, developed by experts in youth mental health, and are supported by the NZ Government.
Graphics for schools’ social media sites and school newsletters, and electronic copies of the staff and teen resources can be downloaded from the Health Promotion Agency website
Free downloadable resources (staff bulletin notices and a PowerPoint presentation) are also available so that school leadership / pastoral care staff can share the information with their school staff so that they, too, are also aware of the websites, and the services, information, and tools available to teens.
Staff at secondary schools, alternative education centres, and teen parent units can order FREE hard copies of the teen guides, staff reference guides and posters by emailing email@example.com Please state the number of each resource required and provide the school’s courier address.
