Creating and Sustaining 21st Century Libraries

Professional development (PD) New Zealand (nationwide)

Posted: 19 December 2017
Notice reference #: 1H9gy4

The traditional notion of what a school library is and could be has undergone a dramatic shift. School libraries in the 21st century have been remixed and consider space, services and their users experiences in equal measure. The spaces and services support teachers and whānau as they prepare children and young people for the future. This workshop will share practical ideas that increase engagement with and use of your school's library

Participants will:

  • identify the attributes of future focused school libraries and how these can be developed within traditional school library spaces
  • investigate the design and use of library spaces to support learning, creativity, wellness and community engagement
  • develop a better understanding of the principles of inclusive and culturally responsive service design.

Join us for a 1½ hour online workshop from anywhere in Aotearoa. Find out more.
