Posted: 12 December 2017
Notice reference #: 1H9grs

Are you wanting to ensure you school, Kāhui Ako or kura is meeting its Treaty of Waitangi obligations but not really sure where to start? This workshop will explore how Te Tiriti o Waitangi can be enacted in modern educational settings by supporting the engagement and achievement of Māori students and enhancing bicultural practices for all.

Participants will:

  • unpack the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and explore how these relate to policy and practice in your setting
  • consider ways in which schools can affirm their commitment to biculturalism and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • explore how your school is and could be engaging with Māori students, their whānau and iwi/hapū in ways that enact your obligations as an effective Treaty Partner.

Join us at one of our face-to-face workshops, or virtually from anywhere in Aotearoa.
