Telling Science and Tech Stories in 2018 Eureka! Video Competition
Students and schools have another opportunity in 2018 to demonstrate their story telling skills using video when they enter the Eureka! Video Awards.
Entrants will produce a video (not longer than 5 minutes) to explain how an application of science or technology or engineering delivers economic, social or environmental value to their community. Students may enter as individuals or as a team not exceeding three members.
Prize money of $1,000 plus a Winners Certificate is awarded for best video in three categories: Y7–8; Y9–10; Y11–13.
In addition the winning school in each category receives an award of $1,000 towards the cost of video equipment or software.

Closing date for entries is 30 September 2018. Registration of intention to enter is open now on the website.
Student entries are eligible for NCEA Achievement Credits.
