TRCC is a not-for-profit organisation (registered charity) that provides inspirational and unique professional development for professional learning communities within and across the education sectors. We empower teachers to reflect on and improve their teaching practice in order to enhance learning.

TRCC Courses are:

  • Single sector or cross sector
  • Often residential
  • Between 3 and 5 days in length
  • Usually run in the school holidays
  • Place value on participants having the opportunity to network
  • Are usually national but regional courses are considered also
  • Travel to TRCC courses is subsidized

How we fit with Professional Learning Best Evidence Synthesis guidelines

Our courses:

  • Utilise external and internal expertise
  • Have voluntary attendance and ask teachers to engage in the process
  • Offer challenging discourse on current thinking
  • Offer the chance to take part in a community of learning
  • Integrate practice and theory with respect to pedagogical content knowledge, assessment and how students learn

What's special about TRCC courses?

  • They are for teachers, by teachers
  • They can be cross-sector
  • They offer a refreshing balance of practical and theoretical perspectives
  • We aim to develop nationwide education networks e.g. Ag/Hort teachers, Media teachers
  • TRCC aims to develop leadership capacity within teaching communities
