Postgrad Course: Understanding Emotions in Education, Leadership, and Health
Postgraduate summer school course with the University of Canterbury – 27 November 2017 to 11 February 2018.
This Summer School Course is designed to specifically address current interest in emotions and emotional intelligence in teaching, learning and leadership. Current research findings and interdisciplinary theories of emotion will be explored, discussed, critiqued and applied as relevant to the overall bicultural context of Aotearoa New Zealand, and situated within the individual contexts of the participants. Participants will engage with and adapt a research-informed theory of emotional intelligence that has been applied in international research, in ways that are relevant to their daily lives, and /or support their pedagogical or relevant professional practise.
Who should take this course?
This is a postgraduate Level 8 Masters course, for teachers, educators and leaders, managers, coaches, human resource professionals, parents, students and anyone who is interested in understanding emotions in themselves and others. This course can also be attended for Professional Learning and Development, if you are not currently studying at postgraduate level, if you meet the entry requirements.
