4th Childhood Studies Colloquium
The 4th Childhood Studies Colloquium will take place in Wellington 2017 on the theme Growing up in our democracy: Provision, participation and provocation.
The aim of this event is to bring together people interested in children and young people and their wellbeing to share ideas, research and to generate inspiration together.
Golriz Ghahraman, New Zealand's first elected refugee to Parliament is our confirmed keynote presenter for the day. Golriz has longstanding involvement in refugee and migrant rights activism, and is a trained Human Rights lawyer.
Other speakers will cover topics such as youth suicide, bullying, Philosophy for children, strategies for involving children and youth in decision-making and more.
