Literacy in English, with Tania Linley-Richardson
This full day workshop will explore key aspects of literacy pedagogy and provide teachers with a range of strategies to support students in Years 9-13 with their literacy needs in the English curriculum. The workshop will focus on vocabulary acquisition, reading and writing requirements required to access the curriculum and gain success.
At the completion of the course participants will:
- Understand some key principles of literacy pedagogy aimed at supporting student learning.
- Develop awareness of a range of resources and strategies that support vocabulary acquisition, reading and writing in English.
- Conduct an inquiry into students’ writing focussed on teaching strategies that will support effective learning for students.
