Dear Principals/teachers,

We are interested in working with your school in facilitating a S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) programme with schools in Ningbo, China.

The goal is to establish an innovative online forum in which NZ and Chinese learners & teachers can connect and work on collaborative S.T.E.A.M online projects.

Benefit to your school:

  • Creating and being part of an innovative S.T.E.A.M programmes.
  • Students will participate in authentic problem solving tasks, demonstrate critical thinking and develop cultural understanding though collaborative online learning.
  • The selected teacher will gain a better understanding of online learning and planning of S.T.E.A.M programmes.
  • PHD students from Auckland University will assist teachers in developing S.T.E.A.M programmes.

Cost:

  • There is no cost to your school. We will provide all resources and teaching materials, which the school can continue to use once the online classes are completed.

Registration:

  • Please ask the interested teacher to contact me on the email below to register their interest and participation in the programme.

This presents a challenge and exciting opportunity for teachers, learners, parents and communities in both countries to connect and gain new insights into global online learning. We have schools, teachers and students in both countries that are ready for this exciting challenge and are willing to form new learning possibilities beyond the borders of their respective countries.

NAEA will sponsor some selected STEAM teachers visiting Finland to learn their advanced curriculum in the near future.

Please kindly check NAEA official website: www.naeaedu.com/stem

We look forward to working with you on this project and new initiatives in the future.
