Embedding Oral Language Across the Curriculum
This workshop supports teachers to include more quality ‘learning talk’ in classrooms and to embed purposeful oral language opportunities across the curriculum. It presents research-based ideas, activities and support material to translate theory into classroom practice.
The workshop will cover:
- Speaking and listening skills
- Planning for talk: establishing routines and expectations for student talk
- Vocabulary learning, research and ideas
- Practical ideas that promote student talk, including drama, and speaking and listening activities.
