Got a brilliant idea, and you need some funding to put it into practice? –
This workshop is aimed at teachers who have creative and innovative ideas to help enhance student learning and achievement, especially for students who are Māori, Pasifika, have special education needs, or come from low socio-economic backgrounds. The session will “test” teaching ideas to understand how they could look in practice. Participants will be supported to consider how to write an appropriate Teacher-Led Innovation Fund (TLIF) proposal within your own school, across a number of schools, or within a Community of Learning / Kahui Ako.
Workshop participants will:
Understand the expectations and learning outcomes for the workshop
Be provided with an overview of the Teacher-Led Innovation Fund (TLIF)
Discuss features of effective proposals
Identify a focus (problem of practice) for TLIF
Develop a draft proposal /action plan
Receive suggested approaches to budgeting
Design a timeline for the proposal.
Plan for review and next steps.
