Movement Education in Educational Settings, with Janet de Witt
Are all 5 year olds developmentally ready for school? Many children need time to develop the physical, emotional and cognitive skills required to become ready to learn academic skills. Intentional movements and quiet times can be used in the learning environment to establish and improve “learning readiness”.
Janet will cover teaching and pedagogical ideas that support students in their transition from the early childhood setting to school with ideas to improve children's readiness for academic learning. Janet also includes specific Brain Gym® movements to develop writing and reading skills and calmness.
