The recently published book Going Into Support Tonight concerns the WW1 experiences of a NZ soldier, taken from his diary, who was killed on 12 October 1917 in the battle for Passchendaele. Each page has enough material in the way of extracts from the diary for a lesson and, as this year is the centenary of that battle, a day-to-day or week-to-week update could be used in class.
Most libraries hold a copy but if not these can be provided on request.
