Records of Achievement have been refreshed by NZQA as part of its work with learners, education providers and employers to ensure that their needs are met in a world that is increasingly global, digital and connected.
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has refreshed the Record of Achievement (ROA), the official transcript of national qualifications and standards.
Now known as the New Zealand Record of Achievement (NZRoA), the new record is a secure electronic record that is accessible anytime, anywhere through the learner’s portal on the NZQA website.
New functionality and features allow learners to:
The NZRoA is a comprehensive record that is useful for job-searching, applying for further learning and supporting lifelong learners.
Website links are provided on the new digital record with more information about the New Zealand Qualifications Framework and the education system in New Zealand. This is particularly useful when sharing the record with overseas employers or institutions that may be less familiar with the New Zealand education system.
The NZRoA displays NCEA standards, endorsements, qualifications and awards, and will progressively include all qualifications achieved across the 10 levels of the NZQF. This will include university qualifications and non-standards based qualifications which were not previously recorded, making it a more useful resource for learners who want evidence of their academic achievements in a single document.
Learners’ qualifications are added to their record after NZQA has verified and cross-referenced the qualification information it holds with the achievement information that education organisations provide to the Ministry of Education.
A full NZRoA can still be requested in printed form. More information on how to obtain a copy of the NZRoA can be found at New Zealand Record of Achievement(external link)
