A further national series of overall teacher judgment (OTJ) workshops for Māori-medium settings using Ngā Whanaketanga Rumaki Māori will be held in term 3. Registrations are invited from kaiako of year 1–8 ākonga in Māori-medium settings and educators who support them.

Please note these registrations are open to previous participants of 2014 and 2015 national workshops.

These workshops include new content, material and activities focusing on moderation processes and the analysis of Ngā Whanaketanga Rumaki Māori achievement data for assessing learning.

Workshop 2 content

Participants will be supported to:

  • consider student evidence and form an OTJ through a moderation process
  • make sense of student achievement data in Te Reo Matatini (kōrero, tuhituhi, pānui) and Pāngarau (te tau me te taurangi, te ine me te āhuahanga, tauanga me te tūponotanga) to meet classroom, kura and sector wide purposes.

Alternative dates

Due to anticipated high demand, alternative dates have been offered in Paihia, Auckland, Hamilton and Rotorua. Once the maximum numbers allowed per venue has been reached, registrations will be closed and kaiako will be advised to register for other venues where there are still vacancies.

Registration fee

We are requesting a refundable registration fee of $50 per school to cover our fixed costs for venue hire and catering. Past workshops have seen schools register teachers who do not show on the day. This leaves us carrying unnecessary venue and catering costs. The registration fee will be refunded in full upon attendance.

Remember to reference each teacher name when making payment.
